Here's my "top 40" list of Cardinal prospects.

Feel free to comment, criticize, throw stones, or upchuck.

Note 1:While Josh Kinney could still be regarded as a prospect,
I've not included him in this list. In my mind, he's no
longer a prospect, but a valuable member of the Cardinal bullpen.

Note 2: Amaury Marti (#24) and Edgar Gonzalez (#10)
may be a bit old for the label of "prospect" --
but I've included them anyway.

Note 3: 20 of the 40 are pitchers. Maybe it's just me
but the strength of the Cardinals' minor league system
is still found in its good pitching prospects. The rest
of the system is improving, no doubt, but the pitchers
are still the best group overall, in my mind at least.
