Next Cowboys coach
You can cross Jeff Fisher off the list. The Tennessean reported the Titans plan on exercising Fisher's option for the 2007 season, which would take him off the market. Fisher had been linked to the Cowboys by various outlets earlier in the season.
If Bill Parcells does not come back, who do you want to see as the next coach? Here are the choices: Louisville's Bobby Petrino, Oklahoma's Bob Stoops, Chicago defensive coordinator Ron Rivera or Pittsburgh's Ken Whisenhunt, provided he doesn't get the Steelers' job.
And for those who keep bringing up Pete Carroll's name as a possible successor there's this: Carroll proved he was not the kind of coach you would want to replace Parcells after what happened in New England.
