The NFL is already greatly involved with their Net property. The problem isn't their presence on the Internet, it's wondering where to go from here. That's marketing - that's R and D. That's not ownership. Ownership's money.
Gettign rid of Al Davis, though, would be the best thing the league could do.
The league's 21st century reach, just to go on with this argument, isn't the Internet alone. It's globalization. The NFL need to get the rest of the world market involved with the sport of American football -- get their interest. That's why you heard the NFL mulling a future super bowl abroad, and why the NFL is playign regular season games in Europe now. American football hasn't taken in Europe, hasn't taken in Asia... They can hodl exhibitions but they can't get consistent dolars out of those markets. That must change
