Wasn't it Baseball America that rated the Mariner farm system the second worst in all of baseball, behind only the Washington Nationals?
OK so we have a terrible minor league system, an unwillingness to sign quality free agents, a GM that makes terrible trades, and a field manager that is mediocrity personified.
How exactly is it that we're going to rise to the top again? I forget.
