They shut him down simply because his elbow was sore from what I recall... And that he woudl resume pitchign sometime after opening day.
But he is a small workhorse and the team has to be careful with him... and Scott has to be careful. He's already proved that the Rays downright robbed the Metsin the Zambrano trade... Now if he could just last...
He may have to be converted into a closer or reliever if he can't take the workload. His fierce competitor attitude drives him to want to start and go as long as he can... but if hsi arm is saying otherwise...
