Why do we see the Reverend Hagee (the hater of Catholics) and Reverend Ron Parsley, the Evangelical, standing up at the podium with Teflon John McCain? Because they're suddenly good friends? No, obviously, to get votes, to get elected, to get into power.
The second half of your post, I agree with too. People vote on emotion. Not facts. How many people are googling the internet for Obama's position on illegal immigration or the economy? Very few. Most get "info" on him from the mainstream media, talk radio, word of mouth, from friends, and so forth. Digging for facts is hard work.
The choice seems pretty clear this year. Either a person votes for McCain, which translates into 4 more years of Bush, more of the economics that brought us this recession, more stay the course on the war and occupation of Iraq, OR you vote for change.
