Reyes still has several problems that he needs to overcome before he'll be a successful pitcher. He has the bad habit that he keeps falling back into - tipping pitches. Second, once he gets 2 strikes on a batter he has been failing to put the batter(s) away.
If you followed him last year, you know he had difficulty getting the side retired in the 1st. Sometimes exceeding 50 pitches in the first inning. Hard to go deep into games with that kind of effort.
Maybe the move to the BP will help him adjust his thinking and effort.
