Lehtonen's return on hold - Nashville, Tennessee - Sunday, 12/24/06 - Tennessean.com
Predators defenseman Mikko Lehtonen returned to Milwaukee for his third stint with the American Hockey League Admirals last Wednesday. He was sent down with the intent that he would return to Nashville today and rejoin Predators practice after the holiday break.
Predators Coach Barry Trotz said the suspension of Scott Nichol altered plans, however, and Lehtonen will now be staying in Milwaukee. The decision is presumably to allow the Predators more freedom to bring in forwards if needed, now that they are down to 12 on the roster. They are also without Scottie Upshall (groin) and Vern Fiddler (shoulder), who are both on injured reserve.
Trotz said there is no time period for Lehtonen's return.
