Preds may not bask in All-Star spotlight
No dominant scorer, injury to Vokoun may hurt Nashville
The Predators will head into the post-Christmas portion of their schedule fourth in the NHL in wins, third in the league in points and second in the Western Conference in goals.
So it stands to reason that a passel of Predators will be representing the team at next month's NHL All-Star Game in Dallas, correct?
Maybe. Maybe not.
The league no longer mandates that a player be chosen from every team, so even one Nashville selection isn't a given.
The only Predators on the all-star ballot — left wing Paul Kariya, left wing Steve Sullivan and goalie Tomas Vokoun — don't appear as if they'll be voted in as starters.
