On Dec. 26, the Nashville Predators host the St. Louis Blues for the fourth of eight meetings this season. In mid-December, the Predators defeated St. Louis in back-to-back home-and-home games, requiring extra time to secure both wins. Paul Kariya scored a shootout goal and goaltender Chris Mason stopped all three shootout attempts he faced as Nashville overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Blues 3-2 on Dec. 16 at the Gaylord Entertainment Center. Then Kimmo Timonen scored a power-play goal in overtime the following night to lead the Predators to a 2-1 victory at the Scottrade Center.
The Predators enter this Tuesday night tilt having won 11 straight against the Blues. Though Nashville has taken the first three meetings this season, St. Louis has given the Preds all they could handle in each contest--all decided by just one goal.
