• Blues storyline: St. Louis' win over Buffalo last Saturday gave the Blues their first three-game winning streak of the season. … The Blues are 3-2-2 under new Coach Andy Murray and have picked up at least a point in five consecutive games. … St. Louis has scored the game's opening goal in all seven games under Murray. … Left wing Keith Tkachuk (eight goals, 16 assists) and right wing Bill Guerin (15 goals, nine assists) are tied for the team lead with 24 points. … The Blues have surrendered a combined five goals in their past three games.

• Predators storyline: Nashville has defeated the Blues 11 consecutive times, including a pair of back-to-back games
