So, the Phils got Lohse last year when we needed him much worse, and didn't have to give up all that much for him. I was not happy.
Then we gave Glav $8 million for a year this year when Lohse was a free agent. Now the Cards are going to sign him for a song, and he'll outpitch Glav this season.
What part of giving mediocre contracts to league average starters does our front office not understand? Seems like we always overpay for someone when there are cheaper, near-identical (or even better) options available.
