I hope that Speizio gets the help he needs. As a society we have come to shrug when we hear about this actor going to rehab or that starlet going to rehab. I just hope that he can truly find an answer. Addiction can eat you up. From my understanding, MLB has a really good and anonymous way to get their players help. Now that Scott's problems are more public than he may like, I hope he seeks it out.

As for the Cardinals cutting him, I really feel they had no choice. This team has a dark cloud over it when it comes to alcohol. Their no tolerance mentality must prevail going forward.
