I think Phillp and Tyler are gonna be the next big things but not for at least another year.
As for Johnson. I believe the spot in rotation does not really matter during the regular season. Becuase starts get skipped all the time for whatever reasons. Not until the postseason do the spot people pitch in becomes important. But i do agree its because of his name/contract that he is still wearing the pinstripes.
