I don't know. I think the half-baked conspiracy theories cut out of whole cloth about pardons and back room deals with Republicans are just that.
Listen, Clemens is a guy who subscribes to the "in for a penny, in for a pound" school of thought. He's also a guy who has, literally,
everything to lose. Add to that a huge war chest and the knowledge that justice is often for sale in this country and I'm not surprised that he's decided to go down swinging.
Roger has always sort of struck me as a guy who believed his own bull**** anyway...
