Well, Drew, you made me click on it, you wily rascal, which I rarely do. I've decided that I'm a writer, not a reader, an embarassing admission. So I compromised...and skimmed it. I get my info from talk radio mostly and tv although I did just read a blurb on the Northern Illinois campus killer because my sources were staying strangely mum about Steven, who was in a mental hospital 5 years ago, for a year, and was psychologically discharged from the Army after only 6 months, so there were red flags of sorts.

I had never thought of the pardon. Again, what has he been charged with? Being overly proud?

Thru talk radio I was aware of the partisan divide during the hearing. This Dan Burton Repub from Indiana? He was the one who tried to turn the Clinton Vince Foster suicide into Hillary killed him. Burton was prominent in defending the indefensible Clemens. Why do Repubs do this?

What do we learn? Dems are after the truth. Repubs want to obfuscate the truth, hide behind legends, promote fantasies, defend lies?

Liked the line where Clemens was in a deer blind and gets a call from the elder Bush, who told him to stay proud, keep your chin up. More bad Bush advice.

Seems obvious now that Roger should have lied, said he only took hgh a couple of times, lie, and that he was sorry, lie, and that he would never do it again, lie. America wants heroes. America wants to forgive. We assume everyone was doing it back in those days (and still might be today, as there is no test for hgh).

America wants to forgive if you give us a chance. Pete Rose denied for what, 17 years? Now he wants forgiveness? Clemens chose the Rose route. Stupid. America doesn't want to be taken for chumps.
