Deal appears to be dead based on Stackhouse being an Idiot

In addition to Devean George stopping the Jason Kidd trade, comments made by Jerry Stackhouse could also prevent the deal from happening.

The league will investigate whether NBA rules were violated with a prearranged agreement for Stack to return to Dallas after being bought out by the Nets and sitting out the 30-day waiting period, sources said. The league will consider forbidding Stackhouse to re-sign with the Mavericks as punishment for the comments he made on Wednesday, when he said that he was going to have a 30-day "rest" and then re-sign with Dallas. And word on the street is that the Mavs won't do the trade if they can't keep Stackhouse. Stay tuned
