These are teenagers. Do you really think a student smart enough to be copied from would not realize someone is copying from his or her test paper? After 8 to 10 years of test taking?
How long into a school year do you think it takes teachers to know their students? It's February and they should certainly know who was copying. Unless of course a student was cheating in another way and another student was copying from him.
Where did I say I'm against the teacher investigating? I said I'm against involving the class.
