Of course, as usual, you are only thinking of yourself, and what is good for DD is good for America.
"This year, the average annual premium for single coverage is $4,242, of which workers pay $627, up from $610 in 2005. Family coverage costs an average of $11,480, with workers paying $2,973 annually, up from $2,713 last year." (
Health Insurance Premiums Continue to Soar )
You are actually paying $11,480, with only 2,713 coming directly out of your pocket, and the rest is paid by you, with your employer just giving the money to the insurance company instead of in your pay envelope. The fact that you are in such a high bracket that a small income tax increase would cost you over 11K means that you are being very selfish to demand that you should get to keep all that, too. You are guaranteeing that your tax increase will be more than 11K---do I understand that correctly?
