it was really the offense that redefined things. monk's actual role in it wasn't very unique. he didn't really do things differently as a wideout. his job was to run routes and catch passes. he was no more important or unique to the system than gary clark, imo.

We get John Clayton doing a local radio show on Saturday mornings out here in Seattle ( www.kjram.com) and he just basically agreed with your first two points. Specifically saying that the time that Monk waited was the prime reason he moved ahead of Carter and that Carter will be inducted next year without a doubt.

I'm sorry I left for a while. I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time.
