Preview: Admirals at Grand Rapids Griffins

About the Admirals: The Admirals returned home Wednesday after the longest road trip in team history (three weeks and 10 games). Now, they turn around and head out for another long weekend. Coach Claude Noel likes the way his team his coming together but it is clear the team needs another goal scorer and it is unlikely parent Nashville will be sending Alexander Radulov back to Milwaukee anytime soon. Starting with the long trip, the Admirals have averaged just 2.6 goals in their last 11 outings.

About the Griffins: After dropping two early season decisions to the Admirals, the Griffins stole one Wednesday at the Bradley Center. Or rather, goalie Jimmy Howard stole one. Howard stopped 33 of the Admirals' 34 shots as the Griffins won, 2-1, in a shootout. Howard enters play tonight with a 2.64 goals-allowed average with a 91.2% saves percentage.

About the Wolves: The Wolves are, quite simply, a juggernaut. They have scored 128 goals, 28 more than any other AHL team. By comparison, the Admirals have just 69. Chicago has the top three goal scorers, led by former Admiral Darren Haydar with 54 points (18 goals, 36 assists). Jason Krug has 52 points and Brett Sterling is third in the league with 40 points.
