Default Are the Phillies better than the Mets?

Phillies Rotation: Brett Myers, Freddy Garcia, Jamie Moyer, Cole Hamels, and Jon Lieber/Adam Eaton. That's pretty impressive, doubtless one of the best in the NL.

Mets Rotation: Tom Glavine, Orlando Hernandez, John Maine, David Williams, and Oliver Perez.

I'm sure the Mets will do something to upgrade the rotation before the season begins (hoping for BZ), but since that's not a given...

Mets lineup:
SS Reyes
C LoDuca
CF Beltran
1B Delgado
RF Alou
3B Wright
LF Green
2B Valentin/Easley

Phillies Lineup:
SS Rollins
CF Rowand
2B Utley
1B Howard
LF Burrell
RF Victorino
3B Helms
C Coste

Their lineup is clearly not as good as ours-but there are some very good hitters. I get the sense that the disparity is much smaller than it is for the rotations.

Bullpens:
Mets: CL Wagner, SU Heilman, Feliciano, Sanchez
Phillies: CL Gordon, SU Madson, Castro, Mathieson

Bullpen and Defense also favor the Mets. I don't know if the Phillies are there yet; but they were better in the latter portion of the 2006 season, and they seem to have made ground quickly. You'll notice there's no stats here, just presumptions-I thought I'd initiate a discussion.
