Are you saying that there is light at the end of the tunnel? Are we playoff bound this year in your mind? Have you bought season tickets? What convinced you? Willie Taveras' 1 home run last season

What I would do would be to fire Hurdle and O'Dowd and hire better replacements. The A's do better, in part, because they are smarter than we are. They have better scouts too. A better farm system.

Maybe I'd hire Don Rumsfeld as GM. I'm sure he could find "a new way forward."

All this stuff has been said many times before. Talent costs money. I wouldn't be afraid to spend money. You have to get back up on the horse again after you fall off. Monfort never did, after those two nags, Hampton and Neagle, threw him to the ground.
