About the Admirals: The longest trip in franchise history - three weeks and 10 games - officially ends as the Admirals return home to play host to the Griffins. The teams have met twice this season, with the Admirals winning both games in Grand Rapids, 3-2 in overtime on Nov. 10 and 8-1 on Nov. 14. Milwaukee returns home tied for fifth place in the West Division with Houston, three points behind fourth-place Iowa. Forward Patrick Leahy returns to the Admirals after a brief stint with the parent Nashville Predators. The Admirals have acquired Michael McKenna, a two-time goalie of the week in the East Coast Hockey League this season with the Las Vegas Wranglers. The team sent goalie Scott Reid to New Mexico of the Central Hockey League.
About the Griffins: Grand Rapids comes to Milwaukee in fourth place in the AHL's North Division. Kip Miller is tied for 10th in scoring in the league with 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists).
