I loathe cruelty to animals, but let's face it, it seems that the law is more concerned about animals than humans. A person can beat up another person and get a slap on the wrist but when they let dogs tear each other up, it's a longer sentence?
I remember a case where a large dog got loose, went on to someone else's property, started harrassing and biting their cat and the owner of said property shot the dog dead.
That guy got a month in jail. I am not kidding! For killing a damn dog.
Our country should worry more about sex offenders than people who participate in dog fighting.
