Quote:
The Boston Bruins have taken their last two games to overtime before losing. They haven't even come close to forcing an extra period in recent meetings with the Montreal Canadiens.
The Bruins look to snap a four-game losing streak against the Canadiens when the Northeast Division rivals continue their season series Thursday night.
After winning five of its first seven games, Boston (7-5-2) has gone just 2-3-2. The Bruins fell 2-1 in overtime to Buffalo on Wednesday night after a shootout loss to Ottawa by the same score Sunday.
They now face a Canadiens (8-3-3) team that has defeated Boston four straight times, with two of those matchups decided by three goals or more. In the teams' first meeting this season, Montreal beat Boston 6-1 at home on Oct. 22 for its most lopsided victory since a 5-0 win over Philadelphia on Feb. 5, 2006.
