It's the National League that seems to have gotten the short-shrift of respect. The NLCS games were on TBS, and aired late at night (especially on the East Coast). The ALCS games are on the Fox Network, a broadcasting rather than a cable network, and Fox is more experienced covering playoff baseball. The start times have been better for fans too.
So, I'm not so sure it's the Rox that are being ignored by national media as it is the whole Senior Circuit. MLB has been marketed by ESPN and the rest of the national media as the Yankees and Red Sox over the past few years, and the rest of teams in the game have been given short shrift compared to them. Hopefully, that changes in the next few years with the emergence of new talent and upstart teams like the Rockies and Indians.
