Hmm
I stopped drinking a few years ago. It didn't even involve sobbing confessions, AA meetings or a heart to heart with Clint Hurdle.
Pumpkin beer sounds interesting. I guess if it tasted like Pumpkin Pie (Spicey) it might be a nice hearty carbonated treat. If it tasted like rotten squash that would be pretty nasty.
While I favored dark hearty stouts I did run accross a great blueberry lager a few years ago. It was at the little apple brewery in Manhattan KS. They have a great stout also. Tasted like burnt coffee grounds.
There is a nice stout in Longmont Colorado brewed by lefthand. Though it reminded me of a rootbeer float. Good for Stout newbies.
I've never brewed myself. My dad tried to brew up some beer in college in the 60's. It was a little more difficult to get your hands on the right ingredients back then. Between those stories and my germ-a-phobe tendencies I never really considered the proposition.
Besides, who wants to brew beer when you can grow indoor vegetables?
