Luis Gonzales would fill that void for now vacated by J.D. Drew. I'm sure you know that Gonzalez was signed for 1 year only. I'm assuming that GM Ned Colletti would bide his time until he can find that permanent player (obviously a slugger) to fill Drew's spot. I have no problem with Gonzalez. I believe he can still play the game and contribute.
