The laws of economics in sports shows that the sport, unlike Hockey, is actually healthy.... but that the lack of true revenue sharing puts a huge displacement between the teams.... it hinders the league... competitiveness does not detract from the large market cities, yet helps the 'small market' ones... as seen in pure evidence by the crowds in Green Bay, KC, etc that are PACKED in those small markets in football....

The league will not contract or allow a team to simply fold.... PERIOD.... there is too much $$$ out there for that... if you said sale and relocation, I would not disagree... but not in a million years will you see it contracting and/or folding teams, because the players union will not stand for it and the owners actually do realize the interdependence between the teams (even if ones such as Steinjerk still refuse to split the pie in a way that is best for the league as a whole, which actually helps his team more than he realizes)
