Well, I'm not sure exactly what qualifies you to impose your own personal prerequisites for being a baseball fan, but I for one do not recognize it.
Professional sports do not exist in their own little bubble.
Sooner or later the real cold hard basic economic principles which factor the global economy will penetrate and overcome the artificial ones that pro sports, notably baseball, have existed under for awhile now.
There are too many teams in all of the four major sports.
Contraction is inevitable..... it might not happen this year or next, but it will happen.
